What You Should Know To Do Well In the Video Game Design Industry?
The video game design market is dramatically growing more and more every year. The increasing demand for games that challenge the mind or that contain great graphics is never ending for individuals no matter what their age.
What once was a curse to parents is now one of the best and profitable industries to be in with the proper education of course. Have you ever considered getting into video game design? How many hours have you spent just dreaming about what it would be like to make your own video game? It is definitely possible just by taking the right college classes.
You will have to enroll in particular courses to be able to flourish in this industry. However, what types of courses do you need? Well there are three kinds of courses that you would benefit from. These are programming, game theory, graphic design and animation. Every course will focus on certain aspects of video game design and will educate you in what you should know to get a great job.
It is imperative to sign up for programming courses. The program is the basis for the video game. It is advantageous for you to know the various program languages like C and C++. Such language programs are very important. You can also learn some programming languages that are not used as much. If you know these, you can be more versatile in the industry. This will train you to be like a computer programmer and expand your knowledge.
Take game theory courses to teach you the difficulty and strategies used for video games. Games that have popular titles and challenges that make the player think and plan what they will do next or to find solutions to complicated problems to be able to advance are some of the more favorable kinds of games. Knowing how to this will make you desirable to many video game companies.
With the game theory courses, it is a good idea to take some political science and history courses too. These courses can actually teach you the strategic aspects that people get excited about when playing the game.
Graphic design and animation classes will be good for you to be able to communicate better with programmers and other parts of the game too. Though you may not an artistic individual, it is advantageous to be knowledgeable in this. It will give you the chance to show the employer the various parts of game design you have produced.
The courses mentioned above are ones you need to take if you want to blossom in the industry of video game design. They can be a challenge, but so is a video game. Invest time in learning how to create a fun game that will be one of the best accomplishments you have achieved. Many schools give courses and degrees in this field. Look into, go for the one that is good for you and your needs, and enroll in it.
Card Game Idea, How do I hire a printer? Computer design?
I have an idea for an educational card game, how do I hire a printer? What are some simple computer design tools I can use, and are there any game design websites?
Yeah, I’m clueless, but the idea is a good one!
This is who I use for my printer . . .they do great work!!! You might want to try someone locally by looking in the yellow pages or online. I don’t know of any game design websites though.

In this part, we’re taking our first steps into level design by importing models into the Unity 3d engine. To download these models for FREE, click here: http://www.tornadotwins.com/archives/31
ALL I ASK IN RETURN… is if you can make a quick capture of your level and post it as a video-reply. I’d LOVE to see what you can come up with!! It makes creating these videos much more fun!

Yes and here are some suggestions.
1) Stanford University
2) MIT
3) SUNY at Albany
4) RPI
5) RIT
6) Chicago University
7) Northwestern University
SUNY Baffalo
9) SUNY Stonybrook
What do you think of Computer Science: Computer Game Design?
Is this a good major? The only school offering this is UCSC
it is a highly….. USELESS degree..
Honestly.
I graduated with a Bachelors in Game art And Game Design
or Game art and Design.
it is difficult to find entry level positions anywhere.
most likely in California, not a guarantee. that there would be more entry level openings over there.
and also the cost of living there is so high, you might as well work at a gas station…
but the point being.
if you want to pick a school and a degree.. you better make sure you can find a job afterwards and that it would be enough money to pay off your student loans or keep you alive.
if the job cant even pay you enough money that you can donate 10% to charity and still survive.. then its hardly worth it.
try career builder website or things like that and try to find a job in whatever field you are thinking off.
now imagine.. after you graduate.. you will be looking for a job..
so by looking at the demand and the qualifications they ask..
do you think you’ll get hired?
thats the practical side of things.
God Bless.
i had a quick question on computer game design?
is it an easy course… ROP computer game design… i’m taking it for the first time, and i am not sure whether i should stay with it or choose another course…i am kinda computer guy… i mena i know shizz bout computers and all, but i have never tried to design a game..
is it hard/easy… HELP ME>>>>>
It depends really on whether you can think logically or not.
If you can’t think logically, you may find it hardish.
If you can think logically, you may find it easy.
But for each person it is different, as it depends on the person.
If it is a basic game design course, and you know something about programming, it should not be that hard.
The part that may get hard is designing 3D games, as you may need to know a lot of maths to be able to do it. That is, making 3D graphics is pretty much maths based.

A career in Game Design or Computer Animation?
Well I need a basic idea on what careers I can go into with a major in Game Design or Computer Animation. I’m still confused between the two, but I’m surely gonna choose one. And I also need to know approximately how much an average career in these fields will pay, because money is important.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
